Gay Lee Gulbrandson, a resident of Berkeley, CA, has a BA (Biology) from Beloit College, WI. She is a certified MLD therapist by the Dr Vodder School International (DVSI) 1996 (formerly VSNA), and is a certified Dr Vodder School MLD teacher (2002).

Her accreditations include certified massage therapist (1979), AMTA member (since 1988), orthopedic massage certification (Hendrickson School 1991), member of NAVALT® (since 1995), NCTMB exam certified (1995), NLN member (since 1996), CLT-LANA certified (2002), annual MLD teacher recertification, numerous continuing education courses, and veteran of many public presentations.

Gay Lee is happily married and has 1 grown daughter 2 grown sons. She has the energy to be an innovative, dynamic and respected teacher and travels frequently to teach MLD throughout the USA.

Gay Lee has a thriving private practice in MLD and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT).

Gay Lee began her career using Swedish Massage, and Shiatsu, then added Orthopedic Massage (The Hendrickson Technique). It was when she heard of Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) that she found what she was really looking for. In 2002 she completed her Teacher Training as a Basic Course Instructor in MLD for the Dr Vodder School International. She is now certified to teach several Vodder school MLD course offerings. Gay Lee’s teaching has inspired health care professionals and estheticians to address physical conditions, specific pathologies, pre- and post-surgical patients, etc. with swelling related conditions that are often inadequately addressed by the traditional medical community.

It is from this commitment that Gay Lee teaches a deep understanding of how the lymphatic system impacts the health of the entire body. MLD has a profound effect on the skin. Gay Lee teaches using multimedia presentations, attractive handouts, and imparts the Dr. Vodder MLD methods and sequence of therapy.
