Live and Learn MLD

The Basic Neck & Face Course is an intensive class involving extensive hands-on work. You learn the basic movement of MLD® and the application to the neck and face is taught over 3 days. You will use these movements in routines effective in cleansing and rejuvenating the dermis. A thorough introduction to MLD® theory will be presented. The theory covers anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system, connective tissue, effects of MLD and contraindications. You will use these movements in routines effective in treating the face and neck. Those who attend the Basic Neck & Face course are prepared for the Advanced Neck & Face 3-day course. Those who complete the Advanced course earn certification as a Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage Neck & Face Esthetician. (Description)

The Dr. Vodder School International is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education provider. Approved Provider #33225-00.
Class Policies

  • This class may be taken by itself, or combined with the Advanced Neck & Face class starting 1 PM Sunday, adding 2 1/2 days after the Basic class. Students may enroll in both classes and take $150.00 OFF the combined class fee. Usually both the Basic and Advanced Neck & Face Classes are 3 days each. Now earn your MLD Neck & Face certification in only 5 days!(Only one discount may be taken. An additional 5% for early registration is not available when taking the combo class)

  • A deposit is required to reserve your seat.
  • All class hours must be attended to receive your certificate.
  • Reduced tuition for students repeating this course with same instructor.

  • Refund policy: If the student cancels in writing, received at least 30 days prior to the class start date, a refund will be sent within 21 days. A processing charge of $35.00 will be deducted from all refunds. If a cancellation request is received after the 30 day period, the published course deposit will be kept by the sponsor.

  • Discounts available: If you enroll more than 90 days in advance, deposit paid, and are registered on this site, take 5% off class fee.

Gay Lee Gulbrandson, a resident of Berkeley, CA, has a BA (Biology) from Beloit College, WI (1971). She is a certified MLD therapist by the Dr Vodder School International (VSNA-DVSI, 1996), and certified Basic Course teacher since 2002. Gay Lee has a thriving private practice in MLD and Combined Decongestive Therapy.
